Biography

Dr. Feriyl Bhaijee is a board-certified pathologist and Fellow of the College of American Pathologists with specialized expertise in gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and liver pathology. She combines extensive clinical experience with a distinguished record of academic scholarship, research, and national presentations in the field of diagnostic pathology.

Dr. Bhaijee earned her medical degree with distinction from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. She subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology at Johns Hopkins University, one of the nation's leading centers for gastrointestinal pathology.

Throughout her career, Dr. Bhaijee has provided diagnostic pathology services in both academic and private practice settings, including positions with Florida Digestive Health Specialists and AmeriPath Indiana. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, abstracts, and national presentations, with contributions appearing in leading journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA Oncology, Modern Pathology, and The American Journal of Surgical Pathology. Her work has focused on gastrointestinal pathology, liver disease, molecular diagnostics, and cancer immunology, reflecting her commitment to advancing diagnostic excellence and improving patient care through pathology practice and research.
