Biography

Dr. Freda Nime is a board-certified pathologist with more than four decades of experience in surgical pathology, cytopathology, and diagnostic laboratory medicine. Throughout her career, she has provided comprehensive pathology services in both academic and community healthcare settings while contributing to research, medical education, and multidisciplinary cancer care programs.

Dr. Nime earned her medical degree with distinction from the American University of Beirut and completed residency training in Anatomic Pathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident in Surgical Pathology. She subsequently completed fellowship training in Surgical Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, further strengthening her expertise in oncologic and diagnostic pathology.

Her professional experience includes service as a Cancer Research Pathologist at Roswell Park Memorial Institute and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Since 1981, she has practiced pathology in Florida, serving on the medical staffs of Rockledge Regional Medical Center and Melbourne Regional Medical Center. Throughout her career, Dr. Nime has maintained active involvement in cancer committees, tumor boards, physician education, and resident and medical student mentoring. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and remains a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists. Her longstanding commitment to diagnostic excellence, education, and patient-centered care has made her a respected leader within the pathology community.
