Biography

Dr. Houssam Attal is a board-certified pathologist with more than three decades of experience in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, cytopathology, and surgical pathology. Throughout his career, he has maintained a broad-based pathology practice while developing specialized expertise in gynecologic pathology, dermatopathology, and cytopathology. He is recognized for his commitment to diagnostic excellence and his dedication to advancing pathology services through innovation and continuous learning.

Dr. Attal completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Loyola University Medical Center and subsequently completed fellowship training in Cytopathology at Wayne State University. His advanced training provided extensive experience in the interpretation of cytologic specimens and the application of evolving diagnostic technologies in pathology practice.

Over the course of his 32-year career, Dr. Attal has focused on delivering accurate, timely, and clinically meaningful diagnoses across a wide range of disease processes. He has maintained particular interests in gynecologic pathology, dermatopathology, Pap test interpretation, and fine needle aspiration cytology, while remaining actively engaged in the technical and diagnostic advancements that continue to shape modern pathology.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Attal has contributed to the scientific community through research, education, and professional presentations. He has authored or coauthored seventeen peer-reviewed publications and has delivered more than thirty-seven presentations at national conferences, scientific meetings, and educational seminars. His longstanding commitment to pathology, education, and patient care continues to support physicians and healthcare organizations in delivering exceptional clinical outcomes.
