Biography
Tracie Massey, PA, is a certified Pathologists' Assistant and healthcare operations leader with more than two decades of experience in surgical pathology, forensic medicine, digital innovation, and clinical research. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she brings hands-on clinical knowledge and strategic leadership to her role as Operations Manager, where she focuses on operational efficiency, patient care support, and high-performing laboratory teams.
Her career has included work across academic medical centers, hospital systems, private practice settings, and medical examiner offices. She has supervised pathology departments, led Lean Six Sigma initiatives, developed training programs, managed budgets, and optimized gross room and frozen section operations with measurable improvements in quality and turnaround time. She has also led teams of histotechnologists, accessioners, Pathologists' Assistants, and residents.
In addition to her clinical and leadership experience, Tracie brings a strong background in sales, marketing, and digital pathology. As a Regional Sales Manager for a digital pathology company, she partnered with C-suite executives, developed market strategy, and supported territory growth across the Southeast. She has also contributed to digital transformation initiatives involving slide scanning, remote pathology, and laboratory automation.
